Videos of Colleen De Valera

Videos of Colleen De Valera  showing undisputable signs of recovery from her stroke, clearly contradicting the doctors' presumptive diagnosis.  This raises questions about the treatment administered by the doctors - withholding fluids and sustenance, administration of morphine and leaving her unturned for 4-6 hours at a time - care appropriate for  someone who is imminently about to die from cancer i.e. within 24 hours of death, and not someone who is clearly recovering from a stroke.

In this video Colleen is playing with her granddaughter, something she has not been able to do for years, even before her stroke. Three months before, Colleen's doctors said that she was expected to die, and that if she were to survive she would have "no quality of life..."

Video of Colleen eating enthusiastically and then writing her name on July 13, 2008

In this video we see Colleen eating two bowls of fruit salad by herself rather enthusiastically, and then we see her writing her name!  Please note that the doctors at the Nelson Hospital claimed that she was "unable to be rehabilitated due to not being able to follow instructions," and this was also stated as one of the reasons Colleen was not given the standard CT scan or other diagnostic tests following her stroke.  The doctors repeatedly refused to even perform a basic neurological exam.  Read more details in the official complaint to Nelson Hospital.

Video of Colleen on June 9, 2008

In this video we see Colleen putting cream on her own face on June 9th. The coordination needed to do this indicates that there has already been some recovery from her stroke.  She also begins to take sips of water.
It is clear that this is certainly not a "brain stem stroke" which according to research is shown to affect the
body’s involuntary life functions like breathing rate, blood pressure and heartbeat, and abilities like eye movement, hearing, speech and swallowing.
